Chapter 1: Out of Africa & The Ways We Were
Reflection: Out of Africa
New environments were being obtained in all parts of the world. Human migration were being led into the different areas of Europe. Many things were uncovered to have been built in these ages such as, paintings, stone tools, baskets, and pottery. When Migration came to Australia from Indonesia, Australia developed around 250 languages. From migration into the Americas many Clovis men hunted for larger animals such as Bison and Mammoths. The Clovis culture disappeared around the same time many large animals disappeared.
The Ways we Were:
Paleolithic men and women were a lot more equal during this time, considering that the women provided the main bulk of the meals. Nevertheless, the men were still the hunters and the women were gatherers. Many of the art sculptures that were built helped the people understand the Paleolithic culture better. The most significant change in Paleolithic society occcured during the last Ice Age and during Global Warming. There was now permanent settlement for many of the people because plants were flourishing. Paleolithic societies in Japan lived by the water and consumed much marine life.
